Welcome

Gaming, Racing & Wagering Australia takes a fully-comprehensive look at the impact of the Productivity Commission’s Report on Gambling for operators and providers.  The conference provides a forum for regulators, lawyers, politicians and industry to debate the implications of key harm minimisation measures, privatisation and the breaking up of monopolies, and how consolidation and globalisation is affecting the competitive landscape.

Day One focuses on gambling machines and venues and analyses the impact of poker machine licence changes in Victoria, guidelines for addressing problem gambling, the future for gaming machine standards, the potential for liberalisation of online gaming, and compliance with relevant laws, including anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing.

Day Two will review changes to wagering licences, funding models for racing, how product fees are likely to be designed and collected, strategies for increasing competitiveness and gaining market share, and opportunities in live and mobile betting.

GRWA is for all those interested in getting the experts’ view on how the industry is likely to develop, potential synergies and new opportunities due to regulatory changes.  Get the inside scoop directly from government and regulators, then hear analysis from those at the forefront of the changes on what this means for your business.
