The GFC has highlighted vulnerabilities and exposures facing companies, and it has become important to raise the bar regarding management of risk, compliance, and governance. Beacon’s Governance, Risk & Compliance summit will draw links between the three functions and help you develop robust frameworks, policies and practices to gain commercial benefit.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for attending the Governance, Risk & Compliance Asia Summit. We addressed issues surrounding the implementation of integrated Corporate Governance, approaches to risk and different Risk Management systems as well as Compliance controls.
Particularly popular speakers included Steve Tunstall, who is the Chief Risk Officer at CATHAY PACIFIC with his very practical presentation on unifying risk across the business. The very interactive presentation given by Scott Lane from RED FLAG GROUP, which focused on why compliance programmes go awry, was also popular with delegates. Elmer Nitura, originally with Bank Indonesia and currently with SMART COMMUNICATIONS, gave us new perspectives on corporate governance and moving beyond box-ticking to the spirit of good governance.
If you attended as a delegate you can download these presentations via the link we have emailed to you - if you are having difficulty accessing them, please let us know so we can help you. If you didn’t attend, but would like to see these presentations and those of the other speakers, please contact us here and our customer services representative will get back to you shortly.
I look forward to seeing you at the next GRC Asia Summit in 2011.
